Pours a hazy golden yellow, nice head that dissipates slowly. Very little lacing though. Aroma is very citrusy, grapefruit shines through. The taste is sweet with a bite of tartness. A kick of hops is also present. Medium body with good mouth feel. I was impressed by this brew, very refreshing. Egon (409), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 21, 2010 Bottle. Pours a decadent bronze body with a white head with great retention. Lush and dry white grapes, floral hop tones, some light citrus/pear notes. A great dry earth y hoppiness about it; spruce, brush pine, hints of wild tangerines and a drying earth bitterness. Wishing i poured this saison in an over sized wine glass to in hail this more. Soft floral palate with a drying earth y natural flavor, rolls softly over the tongue like velvet. This is great! | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2010 A Mes rate. Keg at the Sloany Pony. Hazy dark gold with a white film topping. Excellent aroma. Big sweet biscuity malt with a hint. Of grassy and floral hoppage. Flavour is even better. Almost ethanol like alcohol notes but stops just short. Lots of resinous hops and a hint of creme brûlée from the very sweet but not over the top malt. Excellent palate. Almost chewy but stops just short and manages to stay nice and clean. Just a lick of bitterness in the finish with some long sweetness and minerals. Very hoppy for a Belgian beer and distinctly better than the other Valeir beers I’ve had. Very good stuff. wimpie133 (202), Brugge, Belgium
