Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. A very dark red/brown, almost black, gently poured but produced a big creamy head. Mild chocolate aroma, with some caramel presence.

Interesting brew. Aroma of chocolate and stale laundry. Quite a full bodied beer on first couple of mouthfuls, then feels a little thinner. The flavour of toast and chocolate spread is quick to come and go. Not overly impressive.

500ml bottle. A tart, tangy taste. Similar to Titanic Stout. Not sweet. Unsure what the brewer intended.

Bottled, 500ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Very datk brown with off white head. Quite mild in character, a touch of malty sweetness with a fruity note, easy going, plummy and light on the palate. A little roasty note gets through to add depth. Reasonable.

Bottle. Blackish brown beer with a fairly strong head. The aroma is sweetly roasted, and the flavour is lightly bitter with a gentle malty and dry finish. Overall a reasonable malty and dry beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2012 (500m, Bottle) According to my ’stats’ I drank a lotta Porter last year , that’s fine but on pretencious conclusion Americans do this style with more finesse and overall slickess , while bottle conditioned UK Porters are often somewhere between homebrew’ish and infected and like something brought back by time machine from Dickenien tavens. Now that is cool in one sense of sentiment but I know which I like drinking more. <br.> A beige head above dark brown, dark tart fruit and coffee nose and palate , grimey and rustic offering .
