You won’t discover a North American style amber lager like Millennium Buzz Hemp Beer. Being the only hemp-based amber lager in Canada since 2003, this is brewed with the finest British Columbia hemp, dark roasted Alberta malt and choice German hops. With such a unique personality, Buzz is 100% natural with no preservatives or additives and is cold-filtered to bring a flavorful healthy mix of pure wholesome ingredients together. Winning numerous gold-medals to date this amber lager has a remarkable clean, smooth refreshing taste.

Smell of malt with a slight wine taste. Dark clear amber colour. Slight sweetness with bitterness on the end followed by a mild hemp taste Medium-light body with mild carbonation. A decent beer, but hemp is not evident enough to warrant further interest.

I’m not a lager man. I tried Buzz largely because I was curious about what a hemp beer would taste like. The answer: hay. That’s about it. A thoroughly forgettable beer kept aloft only by the gimmick of putting a marijuana leaf on the can.

On tap at the Arrow and Loon.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper colour with little head.

Aroma: Malt

Flavours: Malt, rye, cereal, yeast.

Mouthfeel: Thinner with low carbonation.

Overall: Lots of malt and I’m getting some rye. An okay beer but not one of my favourites.

Amber clear body with a quickly dissipating head. Bready euro-lager aroma. Some hop bite, reminiscent of a pilsner in character minus the color. Very thin.

The pour is darker, and prettier, than I expected, but the head disappeared in less time than it takes to change the channel. Nose is grain and caramel, and something in the background that I guess is hemp(ish)? (Some pothead I am.) Taste is roasted grain and a whole lotta water, with a little bit of bland dryness on the finish. I knew the $5.50 4-pack was too good to be true. And I would like to know what "gold medal" this beer won, and from whom. Whoever it was strikes me as being poorly equipped to award gold medals. Gold stars to kindergarteners maybe.

The beer isn’t bad, decent enough despite its very low ratings. I would drink it over any macro beer that’s for sure. Price wise its a steal, competing near macro prices but tastes better, if i’m ever bit low on cash and don’t want to buy some of the more expensive craft beers (granted they usually taste better) this would be the go to cheap beer, it gets an extra point for that!

Can at the chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. Pours amber with a creamy top. Dry bread in here, some leaves and caramel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with lightly dried malts, bread, mild bitterness. Pretty ho hum.

Can @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s amber with a small head. The nose is paper, grain. Little else. The taste is similarly disappointing, distinguishable only by the lack of interesting or notable flavors. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, nondescript and disappointing. Not good.

Bottle LCBO: Golden-orange clear beer with nice head and decent carb. Nose is grainy, herbal, and peppery. Similar taste with hints of wood and sweet malt. Crispy mouthfeel. Just ok. Not sure the hemp played a big role.
