Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 16, 2002 Corn-tasting, touch of perfumey hop; light, bland. These guys make their living selling cut-rate cases to really cheap establishments. Half the time the establishment in question sells it as some other brand, which is thoroughly illegal. Cool Beer’s biggest market is Hamilton, but they only have one handle?? Now, I don’t have anything personal against Cool Beer, but how is it that this situation can persist yet I can’t have beers mailed to me? And I can’t buy a growler at Denison’s?? muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jun 30, 2005 Sample from 341 ml bottle at the Mondial. Totally clear and still light blonde with a hint of dying foam...awful salty-sewery nose, rotting cabbages and heavy metals...flavor not so rancid or awful but extraordinarily bland...tiny hints of malt and honey...brackish, salt water finish. tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jun 18, 2005 Sweet lemon, vegetal aroma. Clear blonde with light ring of white head. Very plain, slightly sweet, mildly grainy flavour. Light body with low carbonation. Forgettably bland without being offensive. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005. ClarkVV (3547), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Jun 13, 2005 At the Mondial, 6/4/05. Rancid crap, lots of paperiness in the body, wet cardboard. Just supremely awful. Pale golden, fizzy white head. Clear. Smells of veggies, meat, spoiled food in general. Adjuncts, no real palate, moderate to high carbonation. Light, watery body. Warm bud lite. This beer is pretty amazing. Radek Kliber (3332), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 14, 2003 Minimal head, bright gold. This beer actually has some decent malt in it. Runs short at the end, slightly alcoholic at finish.
