My favorite Cool Springs brew so far. The first and only black saison I’ve ever tried, and will order again if it ever comes back around. (seasonal)

Deep amber pour with tight white head and lace. Floral hops and dark brown sugar. Brown sugar and some earthy tones. Medium bodied and fizzy. Some deuity notes as well. Ok

Draft at GABF 2013. Char and toast-focused malty semi-Belgo black ale. Chewy dark malt syrup, herbs, dark fruit, some lactose / milk and a strong grain huskiness. Under-attenuated goopy round and chewy malt. Restrained yeast expression of minerals / metal / chalk.

Had this on tap at the East Nashville Beer Festival. Chocolate aroma mixed with some tea notes - very enticing and very different. The flavors are complex and well blended. For me it rolls from one flavor to the next, to the next in a dazzling array. Delicious and the highlight of the festival for me. I loved this beer.

Sampled at 2013 ENBF. Dark brown. Faint aroma of tea and lavender and hints of lemon. Nicely floral flavor, with hints of caramel and chocolate, tea and some other vague floral notes. Weird, but tasty.
