A straightforward malt body supports the distinctive bouquet of Columbus and Falconers Flight hops that impart citrus, grapefruit and pine notes characteristic of the West Coast style. F5 is a belligerent hop reckoning.

Can: stoplight amber & orange tinted body, hazy in the middle, translucent at the edges. Topped with a nice, chunky layer of light beige foam. Aroma is juicy, wet grapefruit flesh, light pine, a mild fruity floral character, & just a light touch of toasted, bready sweetness. Taste is lightly bitter up front with some dense, bitter pine, light herbal notes, grapefruit & citrus peel, & a much stronger, sweeter malt body with light toast & faint caramel notes. Pretty nice, wish it was a little more dry.

Can in trade, consumed from the can. Smell is resinous pine, mango, and citrus. Taste is mango, pine, and hop bitterness. Slightly sticky going down. Solid IPA.

IPA without a lot of citrus but a good amount of dank piney bitterness with some light caramel notes. Really a pine bomb but good.

Pint can pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is malt forward with fruity hops. Taste is malt forward, caramel and toffee, a little bready, fruity, some citrus, starts sweet moving into a nice balanced over all bitterness. Pretty nice!

Can : Pour is murky honey gold with a two finger white head into this glass ; average retention by my standard, and some light spotting here. The nose is caramel malts, some grassy, piney hop notes, moving to light citrus ; the flavor profile begins bready, piney, caramel malts, with some bittering, moving to more sweetness, but lacking the heft that I think it needs to match the "west coast" style. Its a good drinker, overall.

16oz can shared by dmac! Thanks David! Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a finger of fluffy white head. Killer aroma of citrus and tropical fruits, and some grassy hops. Taste is really nice! Full of bitter and sweet citrus. Grapefruit, orange, lemon, and some bitter sticky pine. Very nice!

16oz tall boy can thanks to Ant_Wailes, thanks big dog. Poured a good looking orangey/amber body with an average to slightly larger frothy off white head. Aroma is solid, notes of dirty oranges, old grass, breads, bad old hops, citrus. Great palate on this one, medium to fuller, creamy and filling with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Notes of citrus, dirty grapefruit rind, yellow grapefruit meat, green hop cones, grass clipings, orange slices. This is a good good beer.

Pours a deep golden almost copper color with three fingers of sticky eggshell foam. The nose is big with lots of pine, grapefruit, citrus and a big honeymalt sweetness. The palate follows with a big malt profile that sets the backdrop for a pine heavy sticky grapefruit hop laden palate. A bit unbalanced with a long grassy bitterness that gets a bit wonky and creeps in on the finish.
