COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gran Sport is a robust porter marked by its finesse and distinct malt backbone. Aromatic notes of chocolate and roasted coffee compliment the full-bodied mouthfeel derived from a healthy addition of oat flakes. Dark. Roasty. Malty. Splendid.

Who knew Prairie aren’t the only ones brewing tasty beers in OK? (Actually I see I had another fine porter from Tulsa a few years ago so apparently I should have already known that.) Smooth and creamy with plenty of chocolate and coffee and a bit of char.

Can. Pours deep clear black, medium tan head that dissipates quickly leaving decent lacing. Aroma is roasty, ashtray, some lactose, cocoa. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, roasty, lactose, ashtray, a hint of rubber. Too sweet to be really good. Medium body, soft mouthfeel.

Can at home, 600th Rating. Black pour, fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is light milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Taste is milk chocolate, coffee, spices. Very roasty, mild sweetness, smooth. A faint grainy taste at the end. Smooth, medium carbonation. Average.

6 oz pour from chilled bottle into shaker pint. Black and opaque with a moderate off-white head. Roast nose with some caramel. Medium body. A little thin and dry. Roasty coffee notes with lots of dark malt, some caramel, and a little wood. Decent porter, though a little weak for my taste.

Pours brown with an off-white head. Nose is cocoa, chocolate, roasted nuts, and some fruit quality. Flavor is similar with a medium body and roasted nut and almost dark fruit sweetness. Enjoyable, quaffable porter.

smooth porter in taste/aroma and mouthfeel. chocolate/coffee tops the palate. Very underrated porter I would place ahead of the likes of founder or sierra nevada. pours and appearance on the dark side in comparrison to its peers.

Pours an opaque brownish black from the can with fluffy tan head that leaves good lace. Aroma of nice chocolate and roasted malts, hint of earth and fruity esters. Taste follows, a little less on the chocolate, and a little more on the soy and earth. Solid porter, creamy mouth, mild carbonation, very nice for the style, but nothing mind blowing.
