COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crisp and clean, Horny Toad is a premium blonde ale with a hint of Noble hop bitterness to balance the two-row and pilsner malt body. This refreshing libation is a great introduction to craft beer and COOP Ale Works.

Can shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear golden color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting and fair lacing. Moderate straw malt aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium straw sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft brew.

Pint can. Poured a not-so-attractive shade of bright golden with a short-lived white head.. a few bigger floaties in there. The aroma picked up wet grains, honey, and corn, with very light citrus accents.. as it warmed, it smelled more and more like it was underattenuated and not quite finished. The flavor found the same wet, underattenuated grains and some adjuncts at the core.. light sourness with similar character around.. finished overly sweet and odd, again like it wasnít quite done. Light-medium bodied and a touch slick through the palate.. more sour toward the back.. this just didnít come together. It wasnít offensive from a drinking perspective, but my problem was that it didnít feel done.

Bottle at Max and Jessís place. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Grain, crisp toast, crackers, a very faint vegetal aroma, some grassy notes. Grainy and crisp, toast and crackers, light and sweet. Toasty and light on the finish.

Can: † Straw, slight haze, thin white sudsy head, little lacing. † Grassy nose, smidgen of soil/earth maltiness. † Strong grassiness on the tongue, mealy, with a bit more hops than your average Pils. † Seems a little husky too. † Backside shows a bit of fruitiness, probably because of the amount of hops used. † Lingering grassiness, with some mealy notes. † Average body and mouthfeel. † Not bad, but more hoppy and mealy and not as crisp as I would have liked. † Thanks Bill!

On tap at the Mule. Pours a near clear straw like yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has is overall mild with draw and earthy grains. Flavor has a touch of grass up front but is mainly full of straw and earthy grains.

Draft at McNellieís in downtown Tulsa. Pours a clear gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma and flavor are pretty similar- noble hops, corn, grains, grass, straw, pale malts, and a touch of honey. Light-bodied, with high carbonation and a typical pilsener mouthfeel. Certainly better than the Mexican style of brew itís nodding to, but still nothing to write home about.

Can at Maxís tasting. Pours clear gold with a white head. Grainy sweet aroma with some hoppy hints. The flavor has grainy malts, a light sweetness, straw, and a light note of vegetables. Not bad.
