COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crisp and clean, Horny Toad is a premium blonde ale with a hint of Noble hop bitterness to balance the two-row and pilsner malt body. This refreshing libation is a great introduction to craft beer and COOP Ale Works.

Cloudy straw, medium head, lots of lace. Bready, sweet aroma. Strange buttery nutty flavor dominates with a pleasant alcoholic kick. A little on the flat side, with a few light floral notes. Asdie from carbonation issues, excellent especially since this is a new brewery.

Enjoyed at the brewery on tap. This is a good very drinkable beer. It taste like a well balance blonde. Carbonation was perfect, appearance was crystal clear and a beautiful gold. The flavor was right on a great balance between hop and malt. Not to dry a hair sweet. A beer that is great for a summer day or for a long day on the lake.

Poured from pint can to brandy snifter, big thanks to 4balance for this one! Pours a middle gold without much of a pulse... Fat two fingers of white head, a bit of lacing. The nose showcases some corn, wet hay, leafy hops, faint pale malts, pretty damn clean. Smells like a nice BBQ beer. The taste exposes a lot of the same things... mild grains, soft corn, a bit of hops near the end. If this was my local brew it would quickly become a staple summertime beer at my house. American blonde? Not really... But still a quality hot weather beer from a brewery that I wish had a spot in MN.

Bottle at Max and Jessís place. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Grain, crisp toast, crackers, a very faint vegetal aroma, some grassy notes. Grainy and crisp, toast and crackers, light and sweet. Toasty and light on the finish.

I picked up a 4-pack of pint sized cans of this at Midtown Liquor for about six bucks. The pour is a yellow-gold with a good initial fluffy head that leaves spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is fairly generic but pleasant, with pils malt, straw, bread, light grass, and perhaps some grain too. The flavors continue with that; simple but overall pretty good. Thereís sweet bread and corn up front that give way to some bitter grassy hops. Easy drinking and clean enough. This isnít the greatest Pilsner in the world or anything but itís certainly much better than many of the low scores I see here. My opinion, of course. I enjoyed a couple of pints just fine while watching some NFL games today.

On tap at the 51st Speakeasy in OKC. Iím not one for Pilseners, but this one is pretty good. Clean aroma with a flavor that has hints of lemon and wheat. Mouthfeel is smooth with a clean finish. This is different than most lagers and would be very refreshing on any hot, Oklahoma day.

Clear golden color/ white head. Mild fruity hop, honey biscuit aromas. Light bodied with average co2. Lightly sweet honey biscuit, mild fruit flavors with a nicely bitter finish.

[Tap] Pours a clear yellow color with very little head. Sweet aroma of malts and light citrus. Taste is of light citrus, biscuit and a pleasant hop kick to finish it off. The palate is not bad for the style. Some alcohol is detectable here. Definitely not my Coop go-to beer, but it seems very well made nevertheless.
