2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cavie (3249) - Fort Worth, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Can courtesy americanbrew. Clear orange color. Lightly carbonated. Aroma is a bit old. Some malts, stale coffee, dry erase marker and old chocolate. Flavor is quite grainy and roasted. Finishes chocolate dryness with a bit of bitter roast.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ughsmash (5826) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Pint can. Poured a little deeper than medium orange with a colossal, long-lasting khaki head. The aroma picked up a dose of green apple over sweet caramel and nutty notes.. didn’t strike the right chords with me. The flavor found green apple, butterscotch, and caramel at the core.. husky notes, sweeter caramel, and dry, toasty bitterness around.. finished with more sweet off-notes and mild bitterness. Light-medium bodied with too much carbonation on the palate.. this wasn’t offensive, but it didn’t seem quite right.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 degbert (672) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 22, 2012
Can. Pours a very dark, reddish gold with a high, tan head. Nose is surprisingly robust, with candied grapefruit, herbal, and bready notes. Surprisingly hoppy, with a potent kick at the front of the mouth of herbs, grapefruit, and a touch of smoke. Finishes with a rich sweet note -- but also with an almost vegetal note that is quite pleasant. There’s almost a broccoli rabe note to it, and I like it. Bravo.

pours a dark ruby red with a light tan head. The nose is of a dipa gone south. Sweet malts, fruity berries, a hint of musk, and a faint note of citrus. The taste is stale and papery, sweet caramel malt, berries, cardboard, resinous hop. Highly carbonated, soft body, a hint thin.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 FURLYSURIOUS (185) - Orono, Minnesota, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Huge thanks to 4balance (on BA) for this and several other awesome beers!
Poured from 16oz can to dimpled mug:
Pours exactly as it should: a still, amber body capped with healthy dollops of off-white cream and sticky lacing.
The nose is pretty intriguing... spruce-like hops, caramel malts, quite fresh... fresh grass, soft fruits, pretty inviting for what is typically such a tame genre.
Smooth on the tongue. Served just bellow cellar temp, the dense, creamy head make this one too easy to drink. This maintains a level of complexity without taking away from its approachability, which is a balance that isn’t often achieved. Many of the highlights from the aroma show themselves in the taste.
Overall, very grateful to have had the opportunity to try this one. And especially grateful that I’ve got another in the fridge!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 dionysus (1443) - Arizona, USA - MAR 19, 2012
Can courtesy of JCB. Pour is deep amber with a creamy tan head. Aroma shows biscuit and caramel sweetness with some herbal hops and a touch of pine. Flavor is somewhat sweet with underlying notes of apple, light citrus, and some floral/earthy character as well. Overall body is moderate and the finish is lightly bitter.

Can : Pour is murk dark golden with a large, frothy, off white head in this glass. It seems overcarbonated, I suppose - and turns into this chunks english muffin look - it retains well, sticky lacing. Anyway - the nose is tropical fruit salad and caramel for the most part. Definitely malt forward here - too much so in my estimation - and too sweet as well, but its still a fairly nice drinker. Tropical fruits, cream, caramel, and a hop bitterness does present itself near the finish.

Tallboy can - thanks, Gabe! Handsome pour, deep amber, moderately clear with a crisp head. Nose of soft biscuit malts, dry leafy hops, and just a hint of sweetness. Clean and dry and well-hopped, this is certainly better than the average amber ale I’ve had. Balanced and flavorful, pretty well done.

16 ounce can thanks to americbrew, pours an amber color, aromas of caramel, malt, pine and citrus. Flavor is the same, nothing great but nothing bad either, nice little brew that was a nice starter for the night.

Amber in color and hazy with a dense, creamy off-white head. Aroma is of tropical fruit, light floral, thick caramel and malt. Taste is of spicy hops, caramel, tropical fruit, and light grapefruit. One of the better ambers I’ve had. Probably because it’s slightly more hoppy than an amber should be...at least it’s not BORING!
