COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Description: A unique spin on a classic style, this spicy wheat ale starts with a blend of Maris Otter, white wheat and a hint of rye. After a late addition of Cascade hops, the beer is fermented on German wheat yeast. Notes of clove and banana can be found along with noticeable spice from the rye..

Formerly known as Zeppelin German Wheat.

Has the appearance of a classic unfiltered wheat beer but offers a unique flavor with the grassy bite of a rye and a floral finish with banana and vanilla. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draught. A hazy yellow, with a moderate white head. Nose is clove and banana. Taste is mildly spicy, with a noticeable Belgian yeast taste of clove and banana. Unfiltered wheat beer. A unique take on the hefeweizen style, and a good session beer.

Had on tap at Louie’s in Stillwater, can’t believe I’ve only now gotten around to trying this one. I actually went in for the beloved Coop Oktoberfest but they ran out for the year in one week! Anyway, this was ok...mediocre actually. Just a bitter wheat is all.

On tap at Drunken Fry. Pours a hazy orange-gold color. Thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is wheat and a hint of tart citrus. Lemony citrus notes are much more pronounced in the flavor, almost dominating the wheat and mild spice flavors. Medium mouthfeel and clean finish. OK as a session beer, I guess, but far from COOP’s best work.
