COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Description: A unique spin on a classic style, this spicy wheat ale starts with a blend of Maris Otter, white wheat and a hint of rye. After a late addition of Cascade hops, the beer is fermented on German wheat yeast. Notes of clove and banana can be found along with noticeable spice from the rye..

Formerly known as Zeppelin German Wheat.

[Tap] Pours a cloudy golden color with a nice looking pillowy white head. Aroma of banana, bubblegum and sweet malts. Taste is of wheat malts, citrus, light clove and nutmeg. Didn’t get much rye here. Decent mouthfeel and higher carbonation level. The beer seemed a little bit lighter than most German versions, but still better than most of the stuff they’re making over here.

On tap at Tapwerks in OKC. Pours hazy golden yellow with white head. Aroma is lemon, grain, wheat, and some banana. Flavor is wheat, banana, clove, lemon, and some light grain. Mouthfeel and carbonation were decent. Not a bad hefe/

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with an orange tint and a very thin slightly off-white head. Aroma of wheat, light citrus, very mild spice and a touch of hops - not much though. Medium-bodied; Nice wheatie flavour at the beginning with spices coming through and a dose of yeast near the middle. Aftertaste shows a mild wheat flavour with a subtle fizzy floral taste - not much going in here at all. Overall, a nice local wheat to try, but definitely on the lower side of the taste spectrum for the style. I sampled this beer on draught at TapWerks in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 02-September-2009.

Straw pour, medium head, big lace. Hefe aroma. Fizzy, light flavor with wheaty, grainy start, and sweet vanilla following. No sourness with good mouthfeel. Lighter than most wheat, very good.

A nice twist on this style....really livens it up. Very smooth flavor with the wheat dominating, followed by a hint of hops and a finish of yeast and fruit esters. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Couldn’t really detect much of the rye. Overall a good beer.
