2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Dragonblaze99 (354) - Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2009
Grassy aroma. Pale amber, little head. Sweetish, strong grassy hop flavour, not much malt detectable. Medium bodied, somewhat overcarbonated. Finishes bready with some bitter notes. Not all bad, but not the best Czech lager I’ve tried.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, small white head, Aroma is quite much grass and earth along with some mild sweet touches to it. Flavour is quite much the same,

Bottled as "Czech Premium Lager" from Co-op (BB 07/2010, at Chriso).
Golden color, small white head. Sweet corn and grassy aroma. Woody, a bit buttery flavor, sweet finish. Clean, but quite industrial.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gary (1093) - London and(Rochester), Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2009
You guys are all on drugs. My fellow tasters my have chastised this Czech Pils, but personally I found this to be a fine lager.More close to Bittburger than Urquel. Its because of how bready it is. I like that.Hops are leafty and spicy. Some honey and graininess. Pretty flavoursome

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2009
500ml bottle at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Clear gold, thin white head. Bit of yeast on aroma. OK pils, not particularly interesting, but no real off flavours.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2009 500ml bottle from Waitrose. Best before June 2009. Mid gold colour. Not much head. Some biscuity malt throughout. Touch of cardboard in the aroma. Not much hop character in evidence. So-so. I agree with bhensonb that this did seemed rather different to the Staropramen 12 (better). Perhaps the same as the Vratislav available in Tesco but who knows.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - SEP 1, 2008
bottle, from Waitrose Sidmouth. Clear golden colour, white head. Malty, medium-bodied with shy hints of apple and a touch of cheap-ish hops. All right, but not really convincing. Good malty body, but the hops let it down tremendously.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bhensonb (7583) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 22, 2008
500 ml. bottle. Jan 09 date. Light grassy aroma. Medium dark gold color with a fine white head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Rather bready with not all that much hop. Finish is dryish, and a little bitter. Note: I don’t think this is Staropramen Ležák (Premium Lager) 12°. My notes on that don’t match those for this one very well. Course that was another day.
