bottle, from Waitrose Sidmouth. Clear golden colour, white head. Malty, medium-bodied with shy hints of apple and a touch of cheap-ish hops. All right, but not really convincing. Good malty body, but the hops let it down tremendously.

21/02/12. Bright, fizzing, fine top leaving specks of lace. Hay, some cherry stone aroma, rubber with alcohol showing. Hugely inferior to the Polish lager I just saw off with fizz, rubber, almond and astringent linger on the table. The kind of crap, headache-inducing lager I used to drink out of plastic pint pots in night clubs. No thanks.

Bottle from Coop, St. Ives, Pours clear golden with a big white head. Aroma of grassy hops.Taste is good caramel malty, with a decent grassy and citrussy hops towards the dry end.

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a large, frothy head. Aroma is grass and straw. Taste is pale malt to start. Smooth, straw finish.

Bottle, from Co-op Caistor (Co-op Czech Premium Lager). Gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Gentle sweet grainy malt in the nose, slight ester note creeping into the mouthfeel along with a muted hop note, lingering biscuity malt finish.

50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK. Darker golden colour, skunky slightly off aroma. Thcik and sour in the mouth, then changing to bitter. Quite grainy, with an unpleasant aftertaste.

Clear and golden with a large head. Strong aroma of hops. Tastes of hops mellow with a sweet aftertaste.

Golden with a small white head. Grainy malt and straw aroma. Sweet grainy malt flavour with a hint of grassy hops and a decent bitter finish
