Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Brewed naturally using a top fermentation method, Coopers Stout’s unique rich, dark texture comes from specially roasted black malt.

Dark brown, almost black, with a small, creamy head that fades quickly. Scent reminds me of cherry cordials, with a hint of vanilla. Yum! Nice, crisp flavor, hinted with coffee and vanilla, and a fantastic aftertaste. I wish all beers had this good of an aftertaste: not sharp, but smooth and mellow. Nice mouthfeel. Just right, not thick, not thin. Good carbonation. I hate giving all of the same number in my reviews, but this beer truly is an all 4. It's very drinkable, and if I'd have bought more than one to sample it, I'd have another right now. I did find this odd: there were leftovers in my glass after I finished the beer. They look like tiny bits of tea leaves or coffee grounds. Not really appealing to see chunks in my glass, but the damn beer still tasted good.

Opaque black with a tan head. Very sweet, smokey chocolate and malt aroma. Very sweet chocolate, brown sugar, and smokey coffee flavors. Fairly dry finish. Very enjoyable!

Black color with a tan head. Smokey, coffee and chocolate aroma. Opens sweet finishes bitter and dry. Not a bad stout, a bit thin in flavour and body.

Black color with a nice brown head. The tasted is hard roasted malts with notes of liqourice and slight coffee. Finishes slightly bitter.

This beer rocks! Midnight black ale. Only shows its crystal clear brown hue when held up to the Florida Sun. Wonderful burnt aroma. Charcoal, hickory smoke, ash, coffee grounds, vanilla, dark chocolate... Wow! Perfectly-balanced flavor, but not as full-bodied as the aroma promises. Great blasts of espresso, charred wood and burnt hops. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and light carbonation. Very little astringency. Short, crisp, dry finish. World class stout! Very drinkable!

Medium brown hue with some reddish highlights, small tan head and almost no lace. The aroma hinted of burnt chocolate and black malts, espresso, mild citrus, and backyard yeast. The taste was bitter thoughout. Smokey and dry. A slight fruity twang towards the finish, but mostly sublime in nature. A bit one-diminsional on the palate. The mouthfeel was lively and watery. An average stout at best, I like the Old Australia Stout I had before this much better.

Pretty much the same as what everyone is saying. A dry expresso flavour. I don't mind the bitterness and find it a bit abrasive.

Expresso nose, oily texture. Initially a bit acrid but ballances out just fine as it warms up. A sour note, but that's ok for a stout. Good.

Bitter? hmmm....sure I guess, but I found the bitterness so dry it was more of a parched espresso mixed with thick smokiness. There is a kind of swelling intensity to the flavor that is best at the finish - the espresso mellows out and your left with simply a pleasurable smooth roasted flavor. A decent stout, but nothing to write home about.

chocolate and coffee flavours bitter roasted malts, i found the dry bitterness a bit too much for my tastes but concede that it's a nice drop.
