Pours jet black with tan head and sediment. Aromas of sweet, dark chocolate, coffee, and a faint nose of plum. Flavor is mild, tastes of coffee and slightly bitter and burnt on the end. Bold and full palate.

Color is blackest black, as ebon as espresso grounds, and a thin, simmering tannish head rests on top. Aroma looms large and bursts forth with dominant roasty chocolate and espresso associations. An especially burnt flavor comes through, more so than Iíve found in most stouts, along with hints of anise and cloves. Incredible texture, thick, full body, great bitterness, but balanced by sweet malt on the palate. A grainy, gritty quality continues through the middle, by which time the mouthfeel can best be described as "motor oily", in viscosity and flavor! But thatís good, in this case! An eternal finish, one that digs in itís claws and wonít let go! A contemplative stout, one to savor, linger over, and enjoy late at night, with a good book. The flavors come in waves and layers, your appreciation of this dark and delicious stout grows and grows. First rate all the way.

Pours thick and opaque black like crude oil, no head. Lotís and lots of yeast floating around my glass (bottle fermented). Aroma is of roasted malt. When you sip the first thing you notice is the relatively high level of carbonation. The next thing you notice is the remarkable dryness of this beer, extremely dry. Lots and lots of roasted malt here. Very unique stout.

Black with a small tan head and minimal lacing. Strong hit of coffee in the aroma. Roasted malts dominate the taste, with an earthy, nutty, coffeeish flavor. Medium-bodied and well carbonated and just a tad bittersweet. Finished dry with a bitterness, and simplicity, that was appreciated after indulging in a glutinous amount of over-the-top Imperial stouts the day before.

Well this is pretty damn tasty!
Pours with a nice dark chocolaty body and a decent tan head that leaves nice drapes of lace behind. The aroma presents sweet lactic notes of cream and coffee, milk chocolate, and a bit of toasted wheat bread. The flavor has a nice yeasty chocolate resemblanceÖ but this is really a nice coffee and coco pairing. Lush burnt chocolate pudding palate Ö Iím liking this one!

Not as good as I had hoped, but not a bad stout. Pours a dark, opaque black with a thin tan head that fades fast. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is fairly rich, roasted malt and bitter hop finish. A bit more bitter in fact than I would have liked in a stout. Nice lacing, slightly creamy mouthfeel, but perhaps a bit thin. Not bad overall.

Pitch black thick color, short head and some lacing - looks like coal. Sweet and roasty malt aroma. Taste is medium bodied, full of roasted malts and sharp hops, finish is dry and short

Pours black with no strong signs of co2. Head is light brown with poor retention.. Lacing is sticky. Aroma is of caramel and malt. Flavor is sweet with a light hop bite. Light bodied, creamy and mildly effervescent mouthfeel. A pleasant drink, but lacking some character.

Pours black with thick tan head, and floating sediment. Roasty, malty aroma. Smells pretty good. Thick, roasty front, then some coffee, and a nice bitter finish. Leaves a syrupy, foamy feel to the mouth. Interesting................... I like it.
