Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Brewed naturally using a top fermentation method, Coopers Stout’s unique rich, dark texture comes from specially roasted black malt.

Overated for Coopers and I love coopers beers. Coffee/chocolate flavours which is well balanced. Had a off paper flavour which was lingering.

The name really says it all, best extra stout. Great stout with full flavour and yet still easy drinking. Nothing missing here at all.

Pours a dark black color with a small but frothy head. Aroma is very roasted and ends smoky, hints of black coffee shine through the nose. Flavor is dry and bitter, not very sweet. Finishes dry but coats slightly creamy. Overall this was a good stout and had all the flavors a stout should but just no complexities to speak of.

Good things come to those that wait. I've had plenty of tastes of this one, but never sat down to truly rate it for all it's worth. Well, sitting down with a long neck all to myself was indulgence. Many have copied, but few have hit the dizzying heights. A pitch black elixer slides out of the bottle leaving a thick red tinged charcoal head. The sweet aroma gives way to burnt malt toffee flavours that don't linger too long as to wear out the welcome. It's made using the top fermenting process like many other brews in the Coopers stable.

Dark beer with a small head. It has an odd stout aroma. The taste is a bit of chocolade, coffe and brown sugar. Odd and a bit flat. Nah, not really a hit.

Black in colour with small toffe head. Sweet coffe aroma, buiscit flavour, very mild bitterness.

I like this. Poured pitch black with a thin light brown head. The head lingered a little bit. Aroma is malty roastiness and some coffee. Taste is roasty with chocolate and coffee notes. Really very tasty.

Pretty much pitch black. Light chocolate, with some "sous-bois" (translation) notes.

Poured black with a quickly dminishing tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, roasted malts and some alcohol. Strong chocolate (brownie?) and roasted barley. Rather thin mouthfeel. Lots of thick sediment at the bottom, that both looked and tasted like chocolate.

Not as nice as Cascade Special Stout but still highly drinkable on those cold winter nights.
