3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 Thick and sinister… lean tan protection…creamy coffee but congestive vegetal sogginess…roasted coffee beans drizzled with chocolate syrup but slightly irritated again with vegetal frustration, not as bad as the aroma lets on however…dryness turns slightly stale in the finish…run o’ da mill ...maybe a tad better..
licorice infused blood

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is sweet with hints of coffee and chocolate. Very unique taste that is overwhelmed by the malt content. A 6.8% ABV that is hidden very well, dark, guinness-like color with a malty coffee bite...root beer like almost..a bargain for the price actually

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Strong licorice aroma. Roasted malt flavor, combined with coffee and licorice. Just a bit sour.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark brown opaque under a medium size shortish lasting pale mid beige head and a quarter of a teaspoon of black sediment to boot. Heavy roasted malt, coffee and faint hint of boot polish aroma. Some caramel malt aroma on glass swirl. Medium body. Medium roast malt and coffee flavours. Hint of vanilla and fruity malt. Medium light bitter finish and sweeter malt aftertaste. Nice.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Opaque black!! Had to check the label to make sure it didn’t say Mobil. Medium head starts thick diminishing to look like a satelite view of clouds over the planet. Chocolate and fruit aroma with a small hint of solvents. Spritzy from start to finish. Musty dirty flavor followed by espresso like burnt coffee with mild tropical fruit (bananas) peeking through. Chocolate malt bitterness lingers like a fart your grandfather squeaked out ten minutes ago.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
I could replace the oil in my car with this stuff. Completely opaque. Chocolate smell with some roasted grain in there too. No head, light carbonation, so not too velvety on the palate. Tastes of chocolate and nuttiness, kinda like hazelnut. A nice product; don’t know what food I would eat it with, however. I reccomend this one.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very dark, cool squat bottles for all Cooper’s brews, not a sweet stout but a pleasant and mild quaff with no bitterness, strong hints of spice in the aftertaste!, bottle-conditioning gives this stout extra character. ’No worries, mate!’
