750ml Bottle, at 10:50 am. Epicly black! fantastic choc milk looking head with a fair wack chocolate and slightly roasted coffee on the nose, considering its a somewhat hearty brew it maintains its self very well across the palate. This brew produces a great dark choc/coffee roasty-ness with small hint of alcohol warmth. Great classic stout.

Great dark color, excellent mouth feel, but most importantly well balanced. While so many modern stouts try to hit you in the face with a high abv or added flavors this beer is just very well made. It never overstays its welcome and I could kill a six pack without getting tired or bored of it. It had an unexcected bannana note that surprised me but that I enjoyed.

Very easy drinking. A chocolate assault on the nose, then down the hatch and it’s smooth and light chocolate all the way, although finish is maybe a bit more cocoa than chocolate. Hides it’s 6.3% well until a very slight warming at the end. Much, much better than I was expecting.

Ok stout, men ingen høydare. Ettersmak av karamell og sjokolade, men personlig blir den litt for besk og med litt for mye røyksmak. --- For norwegian readers...

Old style stout that delivers an authentic experience. The rough dark chocolate taste with a rolling caramel aftertaste grows as it warms, so don't drink it too quickly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Surprisingly a really enjoyable stout. Has that nice coffee/dark Choc balance. Good roasted malt backing too. Solid stuff ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very yeasty, malty aroma. Some hints of fruit in there as well. Same goes as the flavor. Burnt coffee is most prominent. A harsh stout not for the faint of heart. If you realllly love stout you should like this. Doesn’t have the creamy appeal of most stouts, but flavorful nontheless.

375ml bottle The Good Spirits Co., Glasgow(£2.20):
Roasted malts and a cocoa chocolate aroma. There is a creamy barley like aroma and some sweetness along with a mild coffee smell.
Dark mahogany brown, opaque and bordering right on black with a creamy looking, mild brown head that is about half a centimetre tall and doesn’t move at all before I start drinking the beer.
Sweet roasted malts and some barely with a nice sweetness and some mild chocolate and coffee flavours coming through. There is also some darker fruits that are hinted at, possibly some figs and raisins.
Creamy feeling and smooth beer with a medium body and fairly mild carbonation levels. There is a nice sweetness to the beer with crisp and dry finish that was very easy to drink.

Pleasant without being overly strong or in your face despite the relatively high abv. It was very easy to drink, almost a little too easy and would make a good, if a little strong, session ale.
