Old style stout that delivers an authentic experience. The rough dark chocolate taste with a rolling caramel aftertaste grows as it warms, so don't drink it too quickly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pitch black pour, quick toffee head .Nose is espresso. Bittersweet. Middle is light caramel, coffee, molasses, and burnt grain. Finish starts sweet, then finishes bitter and long. Good.

Simple and classic one with some chocolate and quaffy. Bit watery in the back with a decent alcoholic finish. Nothing special at all.

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. Pours out in a deep black colour with low ehad and medium body. Aroma of malt and coffee. Taste of coffee, chocolate, malt, grains and bread. Torfy finish- Not a bad one but expected it way better.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque dark brown color, 1/2" brown head that remains throughout, blobs and spots of lace. Taste is roasted caramel malt; it adds light bitter chocolate in the palate before turning slightly bitter in the finish. All lingers nicely. No particularly complicated, just good to drink. Recommended.

500 mL bottle. The pour of this baby is nice and dark black, with a medium darker khaki head that fades down. There is also a lot of sediment in this particular bottle. The aroma is nicely roasty with a great malt presence and a medium chocolate to it. There is also a light coffee on the back end and a surprising ever-so-light hop presence. The flavor is just as malty and roasty. The chocolate fades away as well, leaving a dryness to it. There is no hop on this one, but the flavor is decent. Just thin. The mouth feel is really thin. It's watery and slick, and the lift carbonation doesn't help. The lightly dry aftertaste isn't bad, but this could be so much better ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
