Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Brewed naturally using a top fermentation method, Coopers Stout’s unique rich, dark texture comes from specially roasted black malt.

Rich Black pour. Has an Aroma of coffee. Has a sweet coffee taste. Overall its a bit thin for a stout. Has a bitter dry after taste. It was an ok stout.

500 mL bottle. The pour of this baby is nice and dark black, with a medium darker khaki head that fades down. There is also a lot of sediment in this particular bottle. The aroma is nicely roasty with a great malt presence and a medium chocolate to it. There is also a light coffee on the back end and a surprising ever-so-light hop presence. The flavor is just as malty and roasty. The chocolate fades away as well, leaving a dryness to it. There is no hop on this one, but the flavor is decent. Just thin. The mouth feel is really thin. It's watery and slick, and the lift carbonation doesn't help. The lightly dry aftertaste isn't bad, but this could be so much better ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pitch black stout that is very peculiar. The scent is light but with hints of roasted malt and coffee. The taste differs not overly much except that it’s very sweet for being a dry (?) stout. I can find coffee and roasted malt in the taste but with a little licorice and soap. A very sweet and sour stout that I surely will drink again.

Genialny Foreign Extra.

I quite like this, what I expected from a stout but with some nice complexity to it.

The body has a very dark brownish black color which is nearly opaque. The pour produces a small head that fades quickly down to a small ring of foam. It is light tan in color and makes some slick lacing on the glass. It has a solid full aroma. There is a lot of nice roasted character with sweet malted grain, caramel and dark chocolate notes. The flavor has solid roasted grain character with some sweet caramel, bitter/sweet chocolate and creamy coffee notes mixed with mild hop bitterness. The finish has mild bitterness from the hops and bitter/sweet cocoa powder fading slowly off the tongue. Its palate is slick and creamy with a viscous texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle from Erik, thanks! Black with a fizzy brown head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, slightly tart and smoky aroma. Taste is roasted with cold coffee, dark chocolate and some dark fruit notes. Medium body, soft carbonation. Dry after taste.
Nice surprise that I’ve walked past on the shelves for too long.

Flaska från SB. Svart vätska med kaffebrunt skum. Knuten doft. Nästan lite tandkräm. Kaffe och bränt gummi i smaken. Tunn på gränsen till blaskig.

Pours a deep black color, topped with very generous cream colored head. The retention is very nice. There are some roasted malts in the aroma, some coffee and some nice and inviting caramel. The taste is creamy and sweet at firts, some roasty taste and quite some coffee (although not unplesant). Finishes with some caramel and very decent bitterness. Definitely the best Coopers I’ve had.
