COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Brewed naturally using a top fermentation method, Coopers Stout’s unique rich, dark texture comes from specially roasted black malt.

Smells a bit, tastes delicious and is just the right balance. I’m always afraid of getting a dry stout but this was really good and not at all dry. The aftertaste remains indefinitely. It takes almost never ending. I recommend buying this. Really good it is.

Rating #3500, bottle 375ml, a dark and oily beer with huge creamy copper head. Nose is on cooked caramel and dark coffee. Aroma is sweet, caramel notes, lot of roasted notes, licorice, light acid / red fruit notes. Body is light, with leather notes, lactose hints, finish has a long roasted aftertaste, pleasant.

375ml bottle, P&M Bonn 02/2014 - BBJUL2014. Pours a beautifully beige-laced opaque, but thin chocolate brown. Fresh nose of cocoa and leafy branches of hops. Thin, near-watery effervescent palate kindles associations of ice coffee/caffé frappé, rounded off in taste by roasted malts and a good dose of cocoa powder. Finish is quick but surprisingly hoppy. Easydrinking foreign stout in ideal serving size.

Aroma dezent schokoladig, nussig, bisschen Trockenobst. Leicht. Bitter. Interessanter Nachgeschmack, rel. lange noch bitter.

A stout very drinkable, more resembling to a Porter, well-crafted but without character, without anything special to outstand other black beers

Bottle. This was a decent stout that hit all of the basic boxes but lacked that extra something that took it to the next level.

I’ve had this plenty of times before but thought I’d finally do a review. This is a very solid stout and by far Coopers’ best release. A bargain at around $5.50 a longneck and the bottles also great for homebrew. Enjoying this on St. Patricks day and will continue to enjoy through the cooler months.
