Sweet dark chocolate aroma with some roasted caramel notes. Dark brown, nearly black in color with a light brown head. I thought it had a fairly thin body which makes it easy to drink, with a nice smoky chocolate flavor. I found there to be very little bitterness in the aftertaste. Pretty well rounded beer.

Dec 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours a crude oil black with a quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is charred malt and bakers chocolate. Taste is burnt malt, cocoa, light coffee and smoky ash in the finish. Medium mouth feel. Decent stout, and a nice follow up to the overly sweet lambic I just had.

Dec 19, 2008 Bottle. Opaque black with tan head. Aroma of dark roast malt, with chocolate and coffee and a hint of fruit. Medium body with lots of fluffy carbonation. Taste is dark roast malt with drak chocolate some balancing tart flavours and a fair amount of bitterness that lingers. It is a good stout.

Dec 5, 2008 Bottle - Poured a black hue with medium tan head in a tulip glass Aroma was a mix of roasted malt and woody aging. coffee and burnt carmel over wellmed the taste. Flavor was full with roasted malt. The finish was short and was more bitter than other stouts I have tasted. Drinkable, but not the first choice.
