Sep 29, 2006 22 oz. bottle. Poured a nearly opaque brown/black with a tan head that quickly disappeared. Pleasant aroma of chocolate and malt was the highlight of this beer. The initial flavor of this beer was very light chocolate with a hoppy dry finish. As the beer warmed, the chocolate faded and was replaced with an odd tobacco flavor. Also a bit thin for a porter.

Mar 16, 2005 Dark brown/black in color with a thick tan head. Aroma is of alcohol/bug spray/plastic. Spicy,roasted malt,medicinal character,malty and chocolatey with a dry finish.

Dec 16, 2004 Bottle: Clear deep ruby with a small tan head, chocolate nose, starts and ends lightly sweet. Odd taste at the end distracts a bit from the beer.
