2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 CapFlu (3798) - Victoria, - APR 27, 2004
(Draught) On tap at the brewery. The brewers should stay away from brewing darker beers because this was an awful example of a porter - the Cooper's Cave lighter beers were indeed above average. Thin, deep brown body and a thin, almonde head. Nose of cocoa. Thin, weak and forgettable. Did I mention thin?
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 joebudzjoe (490) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Take home growler from Cooper’s Cave. Smelling sweet with notes of cotton candy, this beer pours sludgy black with a late materializing brown head. This is a delicious, creamy brew with notes of coffee, chocolate and whoppers. Very good and certainly the best beer of the night for me.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MadIndian (1902) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2011
This might be the best of their bunch. Nice roasted aroam in a nice MEDIUM body pour. Could taste the hop, the nut and the roasted malt.
This beer wasn’t watered down like the others.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 beerbill (2938) - Laurel, New York, USA - SEP 29, 2006
22 oz. bottle. Poured a nearly opaque brown/black with a tan head that quickly disappeared. Pleasant aroma of chocolate and malt was the highlight of this beer. The initial flavor of this beer was very light chocolate with a hoppy dry finish. As the beer warmed, the chocolate faded and was replaced with an odd tobacco flavor. Also a bit thin for a porter.

Bottle: Clear deep ruby with a small tan head, chocolate nose, starts and ends lightly sweet. Odd taste at the end distracts a bit from the beer.

Fresh cream over near-coffee beans...Almond skin topping and roasted dryness...Intense bitterness in the back for this, one of their most interesting offerings...
