Aug 17, 2008 Had this one bottled, thanks to Slothgar!! Very dark brown pour with a thick but speedy tan head, oily pour, barbeque sauce and smoke in the nose, lots of nuttiness, coffee, cocoa and soy. Outstanding.

Oct 10, 2007 22oz bottle-pours a thin tan head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-chocolate/anise/acidic. Taste is burnt dark malt-coffee/chocolate/anise/acidic/ash, some of same hops or yeast as IPA? OK carbonation.

Mar 17, 2005 Black in color with a thick tan head. Roasted coffee aroma and flavor with a touch of smoked character. Mild notes of herbal/medicinal character and spicy hops.

Jan 11, 2005 Black with a good-sized large-bubbled tan head, light roasted aroma with a touch of pepper. Starts and ends lightly bitter, full bodied with a long roasted aftertaste.

Oct 14, 2004 Deep dark with a moka head. Smoked malt aroma. Nutty smoeky notes come out with somne hops. Lighter bodied but pleasant (considering the others).
