gws57 (995), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Aug 9, 2005 Had this one on draught in Glens Falls, New York. Incredibly complex and very drinkable, quite bitter in the taste with notes of baked bread, cinnamon and cloves, and balanced in the finish. Outstanding. Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 14, 2004 April 2004. Golden ale with fresh malts aroma, some rye in mouth, but rather light bodied. redlem (1106), Illinois, USA Aug 22, 2003 Bright clear orange colr with a small white head, some lacing. An English soapy hop aroma. A musty bitter taste. A nice American interpretation of an English bitter. A nice session beer once you get past the slightly off-putting aroma. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 15, 2006 on tap-pours a white head with slightly hazy yellow color. Aroma has some spice, faint hops. Taste is balanced medium malt, hops with a slight bite. OK. CapFlu (3339), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Apr 27, 2004 (Draught) At the brewery. Nose is a fruity hop. Thin white head with an amber body. Too fizzy.
