Clear bottle, dry beer, low carb, please don’t sink to THEIR level Coopers! Why, oh why do you need to go down this path?
Rusty car bodies, bread, dust, cat fur, damp hay, the nose has all the more in common with adjunct ridden South American lagers than something labelled as ’Premium’ and ’all malt’. Headless, a single stream of soda-pop bubbles rise central of its pale, yellow gold body. Discernibly dry on the palate, watery and metallic. Pasty cardboard malts, some dust, pale grain husks, carbonic acid bite up front, crisp swallow has some alkaline. Becomes soapy and slick to join the rest of the ’Low-carb, new wave drainpours. A pale lager is naturally low in carbohydrates, why do people still believe this hoax in brewing advertising. Wake up Coopers and smell the hops, yeast and malt! The instant the cap is popped on this thing you just know its gonna be bad. Stong, bready aroma - typical of mass produced lagers. Golden colouring with a minimal head. Bready, yeasty flavour - sub par. Not a good beer, in fact, quite a bad one.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This genre continues to be a blight on the beer market. Comes across like a slightly stale pilsner with grassy hop notes (albeit of the dull variety) but otherwise very uneventful. Do people really want to drink these beers?

330mL bottle. Pours clear pale straw with a ghost of a head. Grainy and earthy aroma. Low bitterness and low sweetness allow some off grain and hop flavours through. Thin and watery.

Low carb, low taste, low everything and low rating. Why Coopers? Suppose you have to have one trend.

No head and flat cider looking. Taste of cardbaord and a touch of lemon. Kind of could be worst.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Overpriced tinnie. A pretty awful low carb beer that doesn’t do Coopers’ reputation any good. Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. Faint malt aromas and little else. Watery palate. Low bitterness. Next!

355ml bottle. Clear by name and clear by nature. Looks like amber water with a thin modest head and a malty grain aroma that does nothing to the overall experience. Dry and salty in the mouth with just enough flavour to pass as beer. Another low carb failure. I am a fan of Coopers but this one has missd the mark.
