COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The flavour lies somewhere between our Sparkling Ale and Stout but the texture and appearance is less syrupy and cleaner. Coopers Dark Ale is top fermented in the traditional manner. A combination of dark and medium-roasted malt produces this rich, flavoursome brew that's especially satisfying in nippy weather.

Bottle. Pours a dark brune body with a tan off white head. Malty body with hints of caramel, some light chocolate hints, and some nutty tones with a mild astringency. A thin body with not much else to boot, the flavor falls short and the body shorter.

375mL bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with minimal suspended sediment if not disturbed before pouring, and a fluffy off-white head. Aroma is yeast, toasty, roasted malt and some faint hops. Taste is the malt with a bit of a metallic tang and as described; similar to the stout but weaker and thinner. Average carbonation, smooth on the palate and a short bitter finish.
