COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The flavour lies somewhere between our Sparkling Ale and Stout but the texture and appearance is less syrupy and cleaner. Coopers Dark Ale is top fermented in the traditional manner. A combination of dark and medium-roasted malt produces this rich, flavoursome brew that's especially satisfying in nippy weather.

Nice colour, but no head whatsoever. Aroma and flavour reminded me of couple of coopers hombrews. Lots of malt flavours, but not much hops to speak of. Pretty thin on body too. Two was one too many.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2004 I have to agree with JHills. This dark ale doesn't have any harsh , Full flavored bad tastes. It Reminds me of the German Dunkle style. Clean and Crisp. The Aroma is ver natural with no chemical overtones. Very natural. Strong Recommend!!!

Low head, a lot of sediment. Pleasant malt aroma, but taste lacks complexity. Easy drinking, but not exciting at all

Nice head that stays around a long time. Some sediment but I like that. Not a lot of aroma and has a very mild choclatey/coffee/roasted flavor. Not a strong enough flavor for me.
