timfoolery (379), California, USA Jun 29, 2008 This brew seemed like a dark lager, but I didn’t see the brown ale there. It was a good brew at the end of a long night, but I couldn’t taste much at that point.
ComradeK (15), Australia Oct 26, 2008 Lacklustre. Not what I was expecting, given the brilliance of Coopers Sparkling Ale. It looks good from the packaging, and not too bad in the glass, but it is in fact rather weak and watery, with a slightly too sweet flavour. OK, but can be difficult to find, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to do so. joe19612 (441), camberley, Surrey, England Sep 14, 2008 Bottle. This is a very refreshing and clean tasting for brown ale, however it seems to a bit thin and watery. It doesn’t have the same burnt taste that some have, and it blends a very mild sweetness with a nice flavour and slight bitterness.
marcus (1116), Sacramento, California, USA Aug 8, 2008 This black ale poured with a decent tan head. There is a thin nutty chocolate malt flavor, very watery. TaxiDriver (547), Stadland, Germany Aug 4, 2008 Bottle. Milk chocolate, very malty, light sour. Small off-white creamy head, normal long lasting, black sparkling body. Light acidic and bitter taste, rather short duration. Rather light body, dry and watery texture, lively carbonation. DTM (404), Winters, California, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle from World Market in Davis, CA. Poured a brown. Typical nutty taste, but not much flavor was there. Thin-bodied beer that left much to be desired. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t very good either.
