Is this a stout or is it an ale, it seems to be both at the same time. It’s roasty toasty and yet clean. It’s dark brown in color. It’s flavor is roasty and flavor packed with malt and honey. It has a satisfying finish. I would like this on a cold day.

Jun 29, 2008 Bottle from World Market in Davis, CA. Poured a brown. Typical nutty taste, but not much flavor was there. Thin-bodied beer that left much to be desired. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t very good either.

Jun 29, 2008 This brew seemed like a dark lager, but I didn’t see the brown ale there. It was a good brew at the end of a long night, but I couldn’t taste much at that point.

May 31, 2008 2008 Bottle - Dk brown (go figure) with little head...toasted malt aroma, little else, flavour is pretty bland, subtle bitterness, subtle grain, slight toast, very meh, but I still kinda liked it, all the Coopers brews I’ve had would be nice and quenching in the hot australian sun, and consider the alternative (F word), ugh...

May 18, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a very thin, crisp off-white head. Smells dark and malty with hints of sweet molasses. Tastes dark and malty a little bitter up front with a dark sweetness on the finish. Thin mouthfeel with somewhat crisp carbonation.

May 18, 2008 12.7oz bottle: Pours flat with no head. Dark brown with floating particles galore. Slight sweet, roasted nut aroma. Roasted malty flavor with a hint of mild cocoa. Dry finish. Taste is a little thin and watered down but still a decent offering.
