COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Coopers Heritage Premium Ale is a chill-filtered clear beer. Brewed using an unusual blend of malt and unmalted grains, this beer has been created with a full-bodied palate, a golden colour and a good creamy head. The subtle malt character is balanced with a moderate level of bitterness and by late hopping in the brew kettle that adds a pleasing hop aroma. An ale yeast has been specifically selected for its desired floral and fruity characters of top fermentation, which complement this complex and well-balanced palate.

Not what I expected. Sadly the bloke that suggested this one is the same that gave me the Extra Strong Vintage Ale. Apparently heritage isn't quite the same as a vintage.

Gold clear colouring with a medium sized, shortish lasting head. Hint of malty/cookie aroma. Weak, watery and mildly bitter. Average.

Bottled. Light hazy yellow colour, some nice floral notes and nothing skunky or rough to speak of, but fairly uninspiring overall.

Bottle. Hrm...this one is definitely hype over substance. Great looking bottle with white foil up the neck. Impressive name. The actual beer is not a patch on their bottle conditioned ales. Coppery amber in colour with small rocky off white head which does not really last. Stuff all in the aroma, some feint malt, very feint esters, nothing else. Taste is a bit buttery, a little fruity, but almost no balancing hop bitterness. Mouth is fizzy and watery...disappointing on the whole.

Not a bad effort for a newy..It was quite enjoyable with nothing outstanding however to discuss more about. Slightly metalic.

The new release from the cooper’s brewery is a filtered, golden coloured, ale. The brew is easy to drink and generally soft and smooth. The beer has nowhere near the complexity of the bottle conditioned ales, yet is still drinkable.

I expected something, but got nothing from this. Looked like a weak bubbled (amber) water in the glass and wouldn’t hold a head. Nose was dull and had a cardboard tone to it. Very thin on the palate and absolutely no follow through. Bottle was in date, but I suspect it had been treated poorly (or Coopers got it really wrong)

Smell is not unpleasant. Some head, but not much. Taste is too bitter to be really enjoyable. Mouthfeel is ok. Aftertaste isn’t as bad as some.
