2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
No idea how it’s taken so long to rate this one. These days you can pretty much get this in bottle and/or tap in every pub in the country.
Pale blonde beer uniform yeast haze. Holds a small white ring.
Moderately low aroma; bready, doughy yeast, peppery phenolics, faint unripe apricot and stonefruit.
Quite lean on the palate, distinctly dry with a firm prickle of carbonation.
Mildly fruity beer, distinct pepper spice and cereal bread malt yeast combo. Finishes with a good bit of bitterness and lingering dryness.
An iconic Aussie beer, the yeast has a unique stamp this, and other Coopers beers.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Foamy white head that retains well. Good carbonation. Cloudy yellow appearance. Good consistent flavour for a mass produced beer. Slight sweetness and mild hops complement a smooth malt flavour. An easy drinking beer

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375 ml bottle - Firstly I'm a fan of the bottle and the label, great artwork and branding. Hazy cloudy yellow with a constant and heavy carbonation which gives it a crackle carbonation much like soft drinks. Increasing sweetness on the palate and abrupt but pleasant after taste.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 375 ml into a Guinness pint glass, ABV 4.5%
Bright golden yellow colour on the body, slighty hazy, with one finger of white head. Good retention, light lacing on the glass.
Aroma of grains, a bit nutty too.
Taste is medium sweet but with a nice light bitterness on the finish and on the aftertaste. Grains, yeast, some spices.
Medium body, average carbonation.
Overall okay, easy, for mindless drinking.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours pale, cloudy liquid with no head. Bready aroma with a hint of fruits. Taste is kinda bland, a little sweet and a little bitter with no finish (except some unpleasant sourness). Basically no body, oily textured and lively carbonated. Pale ale that’s very lager-like - not the one for me.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
375ml bottle at home. Pours a hazy off yellow colour with almost immediately no head. Aroma is very weak, picked up some hints of fruit but not much else. Taste is sour, with some hops; okay if you like that sort of thing but really not to my taste. Very watery and overcarbonated. Probably a good summer beer but disappointing.
