3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MOFO (17) - Melbourne (Prev: Chch, NZ), - OCT 23, 2006
Poured from a bottle into 12 once. This beer pours a beautiful cloudy straw colour (wihtout needing to agitate the yeast at the bottom). A nice beer served at Australian-style temperatures. Disappointing in bottle compared to a kegged version in my opinion.
Being bottle conditioned, I find the quality can vary somewhat - wiht it occasionally tasting a little yeasty even on tap. Getting the bottom of the keg at a pub with this brew is an especially interesting experience.

Pale gold, clear (went for the careful pour option), thick frothy head; some banana in the fruity aroma; ripe citrus fruit the lead flavour, with balanced if subdued malt and hops; a faintly spicy sweetness; moderately bitter; no more than merely pleasant

Nice distinctive look with a nice, full head and a full aroma. Has a bitter yet sweet, fruity taste which sets it apart from most Australian beers.

Bottle, murky light orange colour, small long lasting head, aroma of herbs and soapy skunky notes, with some biscuity notes and a hint of honey, light malty honey sweetness with just a hint of apple and citrus with a coarse bitterness. This a quite a "lagery" ale and not to good as that.
