COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle & keg; Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast.
"With its fruity character, and robust flavour, Coopers Pale Ale is perfect for every occasion. Naturally fermented in the 'Burton-on-Trent' style, a secondary fermentation creates the trademark sediment that gives 'Pale' its fine cloudy appearance. This cloudy residue can be stirred through the beer by tipping or rolling the bottle before drinking."

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2007 Sept, 2002I had been trying to get hold of some Coopers for a few months. Two Internet suppliers let me down, but - at last! - www.beerbarons.co.uk delivered the goods. I didn’t wish to start with the classic Sparkling Ale and so opened a bottle of the Original Pale. Ah. Profound disappointment! It bears no resemblance to an English pale ale, so expectations were immediately confused. This is a very light lager style beer, lighter in character than a Belgian pale ale, and perhaps leaning more in style to a wheat beer in its overall subdued character. The gentle fizz added some interest, but at the same time emphasised for me the lager quality of what I was drinking. I finished it off with no enthusiasm. A couple of days later I tried a second bottle - this time knowing what to expect. I got a little more out of it this time, noting the mild presence of the malt and gentle flowery quality of the hops, but overall this for me was an underwhelming beer with an unimpressive subtly. Jan, 2007 This is like an unfiltered pale lager. It may be top-fermented, but the finished result is a bland and fizzy pale lager. Stir in the yeast and there’s some extra flavour - a little tart fruit - but nothing delightful. Drinkable, but very, very dull. [2.0]

Pale gold, clear (went for the careful pour option), thick frothy head; some banana in the fruity aroma; ripe citrus fruit the lead flavour, with balanced if subdued malt and hops; a faintly spicy sweetness; moderately bitter; no more than merely pleasant

Nice distinctive look with a nice, full head and a full aroma. Has a bitter yet sweet, fruity taste which sets it apart from most Australian beers.

Pale, hazy blond appearance. Very thin watery texture and feel. Also a bit flat and lifeless. Has some spicy yeast and a bit of a dry finish. Otherwise bland.

37,5cl bottle at Dingo in Hoi An. Light hazy golden with a nice white head. Lightly fruity aroma with citrus, hints of tropical fruits, malt. Lightly sweet and fruity with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Very pleasant in the heat. Nice change from the SFA lagers.

Bit of a session beer when the sport is on and all that you are concerned about your beer having is that its amber, cold and has a n alcohol content.

Bottle, murky light orange colour, small long lasting head, aroma of herbs and soapy skunky notes, with some biscuity notes and a hint of honey, light malty honey sweetness with just a hint of apple and citrus with a coarse bitterness. This a quite a "lagery" ale and not to good as that.
