Guinness4Duff (464), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Apr 5, 2008 pours a cloudy straw color with moderate white head and has a stale hop aroma. Taste isnt bad, mildly malty and hoppy, a subtle fruit note. Not bad but nothing special.
robforbes (735), Bremerton, Washington, USA Sep 4, 2008 pours a cloudy pale yellow with a small white head, no lacing.
smell is grain, some funk, some malt, touch of citrus.
taste is crisp, somewhat tart, grain, corn, some malt, few hops, citrus, a little spice in the back. FatPhil (2102), Espoo, Finland Aug 30, 2008 375ml bottle.
Bitty orange, almost no head. Sweet fruity aroma, something like a mocha cake. Slightly thin palate. Not a particularly robust ale taste. Didn’t seem to benefit from BC, tasted better things pasteurised. Certainly quite fruity, which is quite pleasant. Nothing really wrong with it though, just a bit dull and uninspiring. pepperford (91), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA Aug 29, 2008 Light, fruity aromas. Clean, bright, with just enough hop bitterness to not be a pilsner. A clean, almost metallic grassy finish, but in a good way. elihapa (260), Connecticut, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of light hops, some grass. A little indescript. Palate is crisp and clean, finish does not linger. Flavor is pretty typical of a traditional (rather than a well-hopped APA) pale ale. Maybe because I sandwiched this beer between a Ayinger Celebrator and Deschutes Black Butte XX, but I felt that this beer was too plain for me. I just can’t justify paying micobrew prices for such a pushover product.
