This all malt beer is brewed with the finest ingredients. It is fermented at low temperature using a traditional lager yeast. Coopers Premium Lager is smooth drinking, with a crisp, refreshing finish. This superior lager is another Coopers original.

Bottle -- Life’s full of little mysteries. Like how did the brewers of the simply superb Little Creatures Pale Ale manage to produce the simply forgettable Little Creatures Pilsner? Or how did the brewers of the excellent Coopers Sparkling Ale and the even better Coopers Best Extra Stout manage to make Coopers Premium Lager? Pours with a negligible head with next to no retention and no lacing. Aroma is yeasty and skunky. More yeast in the flavour without much in the way of bitterness. Not bad mouthfeel.

Flavor and aroma of skunk/gasoline/rubber. This beer is not even in a green bottle but it has that distinctive green bottle taste. Some light malt under the skunkiness, soapy-tasting carbonation.

Real Aussie Lager Brewed In Australia. Clear gold. Modest, frothy, bright white head. Nose of crisp grains and subtle hops and subtle skunk. Skunk goes away in the flavor, which is also crisp grain and light hops, not bad. Very simple, but not bad. Light and well carbonated on the palate. Very drinkable lawnmower beer.

Yeasty, somewhat Belgian/weissy aroma. Cereal, a little chemical, tangy, medium bittering. Lingering lager bitter finish.

Poured from the bottle a standard golden color with lots of bubbles. Taste was smooth and crisp with no other dominating characteristics. A small hoppy finish but nothing too strong. A mediocre beer in pretty much all regards.

Off-gold that seems to be thinking about yellow, fair bubbly head. Appears to be the vaguest hint of citric hops in the nose, plus some sliced white bread. Flavor starts with a weird hint of smoke (?). A bit sticky, husky and tart, weird on the palate and gets kinda disgusting. Something about this makes me want to vomit, must be the spoiled mushroom POR hops.

Split a 6pack from Knightly Spirits with SoLan, had to see if....Pours an oily looking gold/yellow with a quickly diminishing off white head. Aroma is not offensive at all, what I was expecting. In fact, it really has so little aroma I feel like I need to taste it to smell it. Remnants of sweet light malts and cereal grains are about all I can pull out. zippy mouthfeel. Flavor is very slightly tart, a little graininess rearing its’ head. An oily, mildly sticky finish round out this most bland of sips. not good, but wowee, so not bad. WTG Cooper’s. A pale lager I’d actually try again.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2007 Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Medium golden pour, slight white head. Euro Saaz hops skunk. Some corny flavor, hints of honey in the background. Tastes like a German common lager. Finish is extremely dry. A notch above Fosters.

Nice clean light lager aroma; definitely low on hop. Burnished brass color with a quickly dissipating white head. Starts with carbonation and then such a light malt as to be hardly noticeable. The finish leaves light bitterness along the edges of the tongue. Mouthfeel is quite firm, especially when the carbonation is being swished out in the mouth. These guys are good. After awhile the mouth bitterness is reminiscent of a Pilsner. Hops seem to accumulate. This lager will not be one of the two out of three that finishes in the sink drain.

Not a bad little macro lager, but unchallenging in all aspects. It did pour beautifully with a thick, creamy white head that made the beer look wonderful. Hops utilization was a distinct Pride of Ringwood, but only a tiny amount.
