2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
From a 375ml bottle on 13/11/2011. Pours a pale yellow golden with little head. Has an unremarkable grainy aroma typical of pale lagers. There’s nothing particularly notable in the flavour, though it’s a bit maltier than the typical Oz lager. Finishes with a moderate hop bitterness. A slightly above average lager but still generically dull.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
12oz bottle. Left behind from a party over the weekend. Haven’t ticked this one so I thought I’d give it a try. Nothing really stands out. Very similar to every other generic lager I’ve tried. Bland taste and aroma.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2011 The aroma is very beery and grainy and the appearance is gold and clear. The flavor is basic pale lager and again very beery. Not really groundbreaking but the graininess gives it an edge that makes it decent although far from unique.

2.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pale Lager month installment number 10: I suppose in a pinch one might be able to drink this after chopping wood.
Pours golden with a big slightly loose fluffy white head that leaves a nice lace on the glass. The aroma is wet grain and some old vegetables at first, some corn flakes work their way into prominence quickly. The flavor is much nicer, while metallic up front the beer presents the malt nicely while leaving the cornflake character to the aroma. The beer far from sweet and displays a great fruity hop character throughout. Some mineral flavors work well with the more geraniall and herbal hop characters in the finish. It’s a beer I could drink another of.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12.7 oz bottle into lager glass. Pours a clear gold with a small collapsing white head; leaves a blanket and collar of foam. Aroma is faintly spicy, carasmelly, custard (?). Taste is caramel sweet--not too overbearing--and faintly bitter in the finish. Highly carbonated with a medium-thin body and dry mouthfeel. Just okay. Re-rate: I really started getting sick of this by the end of the glass. It started to get cloying. This thing could use some hops.
