3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Onslow (709) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUN 23, 2010
Six pack from Tiffany’s Spirit Shoppe. Pour form a 12.7 oz bottle (glad to see someone in this world actually doesn’t skimp, but even puts in a bit extra.) Typical lager in appearance. Aroma dominated by lightly toasted malt. Nice flavor with a solid malty start and finely balnaced hops finish that is slightly bitter but overall more on the cirsp and dry side. An above average lager with a great flavor profile.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 rampmaster (642) - Alden, New York, USA - JUN 19, 2010
Presentation: It was severed in a brown 12.7oz bottle with a mug at the Outback Steakhouse. Normally the mugs are frozen but this one came out at normal room temperature.
Appearance: The body has a good golden yellow hue with good clarity and a bright white head on top. This loosely packed head fades fast and leaves only a ring of foam around the edge of the glass.
Smell: The aroma is simple and light. It has just a moderate nose of light grain and husk with faint hops in the background.
Taste/Palate: Its flavor is mostly of light grain, plain biscuits and grassy hops that give it a good balance of bitterness and a crisp clean finish. On the tongue this light bodied beer has a light, crisp, and refreshing well carbonated feel.
Notes: Overall it is a very basic Lager that is clean and easy to drink on a hot day. However, 5 bucks a pop at the Outback Steakhouse is way overpriced for this style of beer.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3388) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium golden color with a huge soapy white head that lingers. The aroma was faint and a bit dry with a citrusy note. The flavor was sweet, tangy and fruity with a fairly typical pale profile and a hint of floral hops. The finish was medium length sweetish, tang and a bit hoppy. Medium body. Not bad.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 GKillian (525) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Pee yellow, thin white head, some lacing. Floral/pine aroma. Taste is a reflection of the aroma and color. Nothing premium about it. The Aussies can keep this one.
2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 pkbites (509) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 7, 2010
Not much to this. Light yellow pour with white head that dies immediately. Nose is pleasant of something I can’t quite place. No malt, a few hops. Slight bitter after taste. Probably ok for a lawn mowing brew. Better than Fosters, anyway. But what isn’t?
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 beernovice39 (2090) - South Carolina, USA - MAY 7, 2010
Light gold with white head, grassy musky scent. Crisp light taste, decent on a hot day.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Sammer (750) - Plano, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2010
Golden pour from bottle at Outback Steakhouse. While not much jumps out at you, it is a very clean tasting, very smooth lager. Decent change of pace if you are looking to drink something lighter on any given day.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 cheapdark (2960) - Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 8, 2010
Coopers, sounds familiar but never tasted this one. Pale lager in appearance allright. Interesting shaped bottle, too bad its twist off. Clean flavor, not much offensiveness going on here. Friendly enough alright. Good manners and easy to drink. Yes, seems about 5% on the palate. Goes down easy and easy to session I bet. Real aussie beer eh, from downunder? Yepperie, finish is frommunder too, but like many other decent american lagers.
