doubleo (765), San Diego, California, USA May 18, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours pale golden yellow with a thin, white head. No lace, no retention. Smells like grain, corn, slightly sweet. Tastes like grain, bitter then sweet. Thinnish body, vibrant carbonation. Not bad. All malt, that’s interesting.
gotohelunc (365), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2008 Draft at Outback. Golden yellow with a bit soft head. Not a lot of aroma, just some yeast and lemons. The flavor offers a bit of hops after the typical thin, refreshing lager flavor. Nothing to write home about, but better than many pale lagers. Holdwine (828), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Aug 8, 2008 When at Outback... it is better than Toohey’s New...’nuff said. blipp (724), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Light cereal malt aroma. Light body. Flavor is again, very bland, with just a bit of malt. Pretty boring. Ungstrup (11164), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of brewing cereal and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of brewing cereal and malt as well as light notes of fruit. cking (727), North Canton, Ohio, USA Jul 21, 2008 Sparkling gold colored pour, powerful carbonation, 1" creamy head, and great lacing. Pale malty aroma with a hint of maize, grassy and lightly sweet. Light bodied with a stale, empty aftertaste that is mildly bitter. This tastes like a premium lager, but still seems held back from being real enjoyable. Grainy malts with grassy/peppery hops. Well balanced beer that is standard fare. By no means worth the cost.
