Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed naturally by the centuries-old top fermentation method just as it was in the beginning by Thomas Cooper. This beer displays a solid head and a distinctive, full-bodied flavour enhanced by a soft, fruity character and the sediment which gives it a cloudy appearance.

Dry and malty, but only a bit. Subtle hints of orange and hops make for a relatively good effort.

Decent hazy gold pour w/ a thin white head that leaves lacing. The aroma is nearly nonexistent - a little malty & a lot boring! The taste is too clean & finishes a touch metallic. The body & mouthfeel is good for the style but there isn’t much else to praise here. Not very good!

Troebel geel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en kruidig, caramel, drop, echter iets waterig. Blijft redelijk lang hangen. Goed bier.

Hazy dark yellow colour with thin white head. Not really tasty, some citrous and dry ending. Easy to drink but not really interesting.

Hazy golden colour with yeasty sediment and a white head. The aroma is fruity and spicy. The taste is fruity - bitter orange marmalade and apple - with a harsh hoppiness which quickly fades in the mouth. Not very full in the mouth but quite refreshing. At least it is better than Foster’s. Reminds me slightly of the bottle-fermented Worthington White Shields that we used to drink in the 1970’s.

The best known Australian beer I guess, with yellowish white, moussy foam and misty, deep golden blonde colour. Rather weak aroma, grassy hops, pear, banana, also a bit lightstruck. Light malty taste, on the dry side, metallic like their Original Pale Ale, finishing hoppier than the latter but still rather thin and at times even a bit watery.

Bottle from a drinking market in Werl, Northrhine-Westphalia, Germany!
Pours strong golden yellow with tiny head. Smells malty sweet. Starts bitter malty, slight bready, metallic. Goes into a bready-malty, fruity-fermented finish.

Pour hazy orange with a lot of white head. Malty, fruity aroma. Little bit sour taste. Nice beer for a warm day.

375ml bottle. Pint glass. Light copper color. White froth, wide & quite lasting crown. Crystal & caramel malt, herbal, biscuit, ripe apple, & cane sugar aromas with slight sulfur odors. Malty & sweet upfront. Medium body. Moderately high carbonation. Funny sparkling & dried mouthfeel. Light metallic notes & kind heat into a sweet finish. Long aftertaste shows herbal notes & leaves a dried sensation. Comment: Clear appearance turns chill haze when poured floating sediments.
