Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed naturally by the centuries-old top fermentation method just as it was in the beginning by Thomas Cooper. This beer displays a solid head and a distinctive, full-bodied flavour enhanced by a soft, fruity character and the sediment which gives it a cloudy appearance.

375ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a hazy orange color with tons of particles floating around. Forms a big white bubbled head. Medium retention and lots of lacings left in the glass S: Quite malty in the nose. Strong notes of sweet grains, crystal and caramel malts. Nice notes of flowery hops T: Sweet malts, roasted malts, earthy yests and a mild but good hops bitterness in the end M: Light body. Good carbonation. Malty and mils hops bitterness as aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Average Pale Ale [ BA Review @ 4/1/2010 ]

Bottle from Sugaya. Light malty nose, yeast, bread, and gentle peach. Medium straw color, a bit hazy, and a thin flimy head. Fruity initial, with grass, little cookies, and a yeast bite. Thin-medium body, with lots of carbonation tingle. Okay. Not as good as I remember it from years ago. Not the top blonde at the bar.

"a little spicy and earthy in the aroma. not a lot of follow through on the taste. nothing offensive at all, but a simple session beer at best. probably won’t try this one again, either. just the stout and vintage from Coopers have been "good"."

0.375L bottle. Floral and hop aroma. Hazy orange color, small tiny hat, stays. Caramel strawberry candy, some summer flowers, sour yeast, little grassy, malt and cereal aftertaste. Wheat taste mouth feel.

Bottle purchased from Bacchus Wines, Olney. Golden brown and cloudy, with a quickly dissipating white head. Toast, malt, tropical fruit, spruce and a bit of bubblegum in the aroma. Bittersweet taste with a touch of savoury woodiness. Caramel, honey and bitter herb flavours. Short bitter finish. Light mouthfeel but lots of lively carbonation on the palette. You know, this isn’t bad.

Dry and malty, but only a bit. Subtle hints of orange and hops make for a relatively good effort.

Decent hazy gold pour w/ a thin white head that leaves lacing. The aroma is nearly nonexistent - a little malty & a lot boring! The taste is too clean & finishes a touch metallic. The body & mouthfeel is good for the style but there isn’t much else to praise here. Not very good!
