3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Woody’s in Kingston, don’t know why I’ve never had it before. Well carbonated, good floral aroma, pleasantly hopped but not to a great strength. Nice enough beer.

Dark golden to orange color; hazy; quickly dissipating white head - aroma of malt, yeast, tropical fruits, some citrus hops - medium sweet and slightly bitter taste - medium body, rather creamy texture, fizzy carbonation - finish with grainy aroma.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
375ml bottle from a Liviko licquor store in Tallinn, cloudy, almost murky light amber colour, small mostly vanishing frothy white head, fair lacing. Moderately malty aroma of grain and caramel, moderate limey and resiny hops and moderate somewhat fruity yeast with some hints of cloves. Taste is initially slightly sweet and otherwise balanced, turning into a moderately bitter finish with an astrigent feel. Full body, oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not a bad ale, fairly traditional I guess.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A biased review as this my favourite fridge filler. Simply put this is the quintessential Australian brew. Strong, bold and a depth that is difficult to fathom upon first inspection. Roll the bottle and drink with the sediment for an extra tang on the palate or hold the last of the pour and saviour complex characters that puts this chest, head and shoulders above the brews trying to balance flavours that this beverage does real justice to. Pour from a height into a chilled pint glass and allow to settle. Best consumed before it warms too much as it loses some of its subtlety in the Australian heat.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet, jelly (jello) like flavours, almost Belgian profile. Quite carbonated. Interesting - different from a British or American pale ale, though more similar to the American. Kind of gets cloying after a while unfortunately. Nice creamy mouthfeel.

0,375l flesje bij speciaalbierpakket vandaan. Goudgeel troebel met een beperkte witte kraag. Geur en smaak zijn tikkeltje apart zoet en zuur met aar ei en bessen tonen. Niet hele aal mijn ding.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: Spicy orange zest hop presence with a caramel malt base; some pleasant fruity esters, most noticeably apple. Appearance: Nearly opaque, unfiltered caramel colored body with a foamy white head that settles into a sticky skin. Flavor: Semi sweet caramel up front with an orange undercurrent, leading to a quenchingly dry/bitter finish; apple skin lingers thereafter. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: A real beauty of a beer, and sadly under appreciated here. I’d love to try this fresh.
