2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is mostly cracker and biscuit but there is also a bit of a honey note. there is a faint earthy hop character but it is pretty faded. Fairly bready and yeasty.
Poured a very cloudy pale gold with a thin white head that quickly recedes to the edges. I thought I did a good job of leaving the yeast behind but clearly not.
Flavor starts with some slightly sweet cracker and biscuit malt notes. There is also some honey to the flavor but less than in the aroma. A fairly assertive bitterness is present, moderately high compared to the malt profile. Low to medium low hop flavor - earthy and woodsy. Slight astringency in the dry finish. The finish also has a bit of a yeasty flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall this is an alright beer, but I wouldn't call it good. It probably doesn't help that it was 11 months old by the time it reached me. I think I would like a bit yet yeast character and a bit more hop character.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Found notes from my 2009 trip to Australia. This is one of the few Aussie beers you can get in the US regularly, and it’s a staple. Very bubbly, crisp feel. Refreshing.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 12B). Bottle 37.5 cl - Batch 07:47. AROMA: soft aroma with notes of herbaceous hops mixed with predominant malt (biscuity, bready). very faint fruity esters. unbalanced. APPEARANCE: light ambar color and hazy (bottle with a lot of sediment). average moussy white head with moderate retention. TASTE: predominant bready malty flavour with an initial sweet presence. very low esters (pears) and virtually no hop flavour. low bitterness with a semi-dry and slightly bitter finish. PALATE: medium body with moderate-low carbonation. OVERALL: the traditional Coopers Sparkling Ale a bit on the downside.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Couleur du cuivre très foncer avec un col epais tan. L’arôme du malt caramel, des céréales et un peu d’houblon florale. En bouche c’est du malt et caramel bien équilibré avec du houblon.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375 ml. bottle. Purchased @ Willems & Zoon. BBF 04/12/16. Minus the sediment: Clear (indeed sparkling) orange golden, quickly vanishing small white bubbles for a head. Nose is odd sweetish plastic, artificial honeydew melon, light mineral water, basic touch odd sweet, tad watery. Taste is odd heavy plastic, faint vegetable, watery artificial melon, cheap honey, faint mineral, odd almost vegetable notes, vegetable oil. Quit oily, bit lower carbonation. For a countries biggest macro beer this very solid, head and shoulders above a run-of-the-mill pale lager by far. Below a decent specialty beer but at the right (meaning low) price maybe. Plus the sediment: oddly hazy now. Light medicinal, plaster, yeast note now, touch bitter old orange peel, bit richer but not necessarily better. Agreable overall esp. for what it is.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazy amber colour, thick white head that quickly dissipates. Nice biscuit aroma, soft in the mouth but a bit disappointing on flavour.
