COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed naturally by the centuries-old top fermentation method just as it was in the beginning by Thomas Cooper. This beer displays a solid head and a distinctive, full-bodied flavour enhanced by a soft, fruity character and the sediment which gives it a cloudy appearance.

Bottle. Very high white creamy and lasting head. Hazy yellow body. Sweet peach aroma plus notes of hay. Thin and watery mild fruity flavor without much bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste. Wonder what the intention of use of the word sparkling is.

12.7oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours gold with lots of chunkies and minimal head. Aroma is pretty weak. Some hops and some light caramel malt. Taste is light bitter. Hops and some bready malt. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing I would seek out but I’ll enjoy this bottle.

12 oz bottle from glass from boss - this sucks; no aroma, nice color - fizzy water with a bad taste; drain pour - not disgusting but just bad

Faint aroma of honey. Clean malt taste with some fruitiness present. Meduim carbonation and a medium body.

For a non-stout this packs quite a punch for a beer, I’ve only had it in bottles so I can’t comment on the look of it. Still tastes good though.

Bottle. Citric aromas. Pours hazy golden, with nice white head. Light body and high carbonation. Taste is crispy and sweet. Short aftertaste. Quite enjoyable.

Oct 2006: Maybe I am missing something here, but I am underwhelmed by this beer. Poured into a Duval glass from a 375ml brown bottle, thought I had stopped before the sediment got out, but the brew was not a clear golden colour, more a dull copper, with no head to talk of. Smell was non existant, not even dirty pants, or even fresh running spring water. The taste, what taste? We are talking about fizzy water here, very unimpressed. Where the 5.8% comes from beats the hell out of me. I have 3 more of these in my garage, I think my son is getting them for Christmas (he drinks anything, as long as it is crap).

375 mL bottle. Nice aromas of citrus peel, grass and hay. Pours cloudy, with a thick white head. Roughly the color of unfiltered apple cider, lots of dead yeast floating around in there as mentioned on the bottle. Intriguing to look at, but not necessarily appealing. The taste is a little lame, citrus and bread, bitter hops and a weak finish. Easy on the palate with nice carbonation, but not enough flavor to prove interesting. Disappointed.

Bottle. Hazy gold color. Light and crisp tasting. Pretty flavorful but not memorable although I feel like I can have this anytime. Good

Bottle, smallstable head, hazy light orange colour, aroma of herbs, almonds and some fruits, flavour of citrus and peach with a strong and a touch coarse herbal bitterness. Drinkable but not too exciting.
