Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed naturally by the centuries-old top fermentation method just as it was in the beginning by Thomas Cooper. This beer displays a solid head and a distinctive, full-bodied flavour enhanced by a soft, fruity character and the sediment which gives it a cloudy appearance.

Bottle. Rolled and pours cloudy orange gold with decent fluffy off white head and good lace. Aromas of bread, dough, pears, herbs, grains and a light malt sweetness. Medium light body, herbal, lightly tart character a good bitterness balanced with a malt sweetness. Refreshing, tasty and iconically and characteristicly Australian, finishing with a good hint of POR and zesty carbonation.

Bottle. Pours very cloudy with a lot of sedimant. Aromas of bread, a little grassy and a bit of caramel.. Taste light bitterness and sweetness. Ok but nothing special.

375 ml. bottle. Purchased @ Willems & Zoon. BBF 04/12/16. Minus the sediment: Clear (indeed sparkling) orange golden, quickly vanishing small white bubbles for a head. Nose is odd sweetish plastic, artificial honeydew melon, light mineral water, basic touch odd sweet, tad watery. Taste is odd heavy plastic, faint vegetable, watery artificial melon, cheap honey, faint mineral, odd almost vegetable notes, vegetable oil. Quit oily, bit lower carbonation. For a countries biggest macro beer this very solid, head and shoulders above a run-of-the-mill pale lager by far. Below a decent specialty beer but at the right (meaning low) price maybe. Plus the sediment: oddly hazy now. Light medicinal, plaster, yeast note now, touch bitter old orange peel, bit richer but not necessarily better. Agreable overall esp. for what it is.

A hazy amber colour, thick white head that quickly dissipates. Nice biscuit aroma, soft in the mouth but a bit disappointing on flavour.

Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Smak och doft av humle, malt, äpple, päron, citrus med toner av karamell och örter. Lagom sötma, rund och len, fin beska.

Pours hazy with no head, nose is some faint citrus but not to mention. Taste is bitter astringent with high carbonation. Lasting bitterness and grassy hops. Not a good one!

Very poor foamy ale with sour hoppy flavor and little fruit towards the end. This ale is not particularly carbonated, as can be expected from its name. It is very easy to overlook and not particularly exciting.

375ml bottle, 5.8% BB Sep 2016. Hazy orange, sparkling (no surprises there), big foam whipped cream head endures. Aroma is faint strawberry, clove, toffee and yeast. Body is light, spritzy carbonation, foamy. Taste is caramel, strawberry boiled sweets, musty malts, citrus / grapefruit finish. This has quite a lot going for it. It looks great, but then I poured the sediment in as suggested by the bottle - makes it look shit and doesn’t influence the flavour. Would advise pouring slowly.
