(Coopers Vintage Ale) Bottle 355ml at home, 2013 vintage. Served into a snifter, ABV 7.5%
Deep red colour on the body, tall and thick tan head with very good retention, leaving lines of lacing as it collapses.
Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, raisins, lots of fruity notes, light bubblegum, figs, light alcohol after a deep sniff.
Nice taste, sweet with red and dark fruits, caramel, light vanilla, figs, prunes, notable alcohol.
Medium thin body, carbonation on the high side.

Hazy amber colour, big head and big lace. Smell is very faint, apples I think and caramel. Medium body and correct carbonation. Taste of fruits, apples and apricots. Easily drinkable, but I don’t feel nothing special in this one.

(2013) Houblon, malts, caramel, vegetal. Un bon équilibre, bière qui mérite une meilleure distribution, les australiens ont là une bonne bière!

Draft at epcot’s food and wine festival 2014. Sunburst orange/tan. Aroma is citrus, floral, and toast. Taste adds some caramel and vanilla. Light tart puckery bitterness on the long finish. Medium body, rich feel. Very good overall - Note: the Epcot beer list is wrong and says coopers pale ale.

to me, the best coopers beer (extra stout is 2nd). alcohol warmth, nice malt flavours, subtly sweet. I don’t usually like english style beers but I enjoyed this.

Pours copper to brown color with a medium head. Aroma is yeast, cake / bread and a bit floral and citrus. Tasting caramel, dark malt, cola, slightly acidic with a smooth, sweet and slightly bitter finish. Solid malt body and low carbonation. Very nice ale and perfect for a hearty meat dish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Burnt golden, thin border of a head. Sweet, surprisingly cinnamon vibrant malt chuck. Suprising carbonation for the age, keeps a sticky sweetness at bay a wee bit and a brassy tinny bitterness. Warming sweetness throughout, a real good kick for the ABV and bonus points it was on a Tesco shelf too regularly. Held up purdy well. Sits nice and sweetly on the finish.
