Pours amber-brown with gigantic sediment (rice-grain sized and some smaller flakes) and a decent, lingering light-brown head. Nose is very weak and generic to brown ales. Flavor is decent, however, with brown sugar, slight roastiness, modest bitter hops, and some maple coming out on the front, fading to sticky pine and caramel. Finish continues to be sticky. Decent stuff, even if a bit pedestrian.

330ml bottle. Deep dark amber color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Caramel, green apples, sweet in aroma. Malty, straw, spicy grassy hops, woody in taste. It’s a decent brew, but nothing to get excited about.

355ml bottle - thanks Marduk!
Lovely dry woody nutty aroma. This is English, right? Nottingham yeast? Anna gets apples, I don’t. Lovely woody body, slight nuttiness. Even more nuts in the finish. Soft palate, smooth, pleasant soft carbonation. Damn, this is so English, I love it. Nuttiness, dryness. I want more of this beer. The other fuckers drank it, and they like it less than me. Bastards.

Hazy orange color beer with a no head. Aroma is malt caramel, with some roasted and yeasty notes. Flavor is very sweet with a weaker bitterness. Body is oily and carbonation is low. Hoppy dry end.

Drunk fresh, reddy brown with reasonable head. Caramel and yeast to taste and lacking the potential for depth and bitterness. Structurally disconnected but interesting nonetheless.

Vintage 2014. Dark amber beer with an off-white head. Nose is fruity and estery, yeasty, sweet notes, malt. Flavor is malt forward with fruity notes and somewhat flowery hops coming in in the finish, some alcohol, but it’s not distracting. Lingering hoppy bitterness with boozy notes. Flavor is not nearly as sweet as the nose. Very drinkable, but the aftertaste is not all that pleasant.

0,355L bottle (from beerExpress, Tallinn), 2014 vintage. Pours copper with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, flowery, honey, caramel, malt. Flavor is sweet, malt, caramel, some bitterness, and fruits. Alcohol is showing somewhat. Overall: very nice.

Vintage 2014. 335ml bottle. Poured into a stemmed glass Worth reading the comments of a previous rater "Blade86" who nailed it for the previous year’s vintage. Dark amber colour with suspended yeast particles.; off-white head holds well with traces remaining right to the end, and exceptional lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma when you open the bottle is both malty and hoppy. This reduces as the head / foam suppresses the fruity aroma once poured into a glass. Fairly complex flavour alternating between bitter and sweet. Mouth constantly struggling to decide if it was malty, salty or sweet. Body is fairly full with initial beads of carbonation like champagne which later settle and form suspended bubbles around the suspended yeast. Hint of alcohol after-taste at the start of drinking. Either my taste buds adapted or it lessened as the beer warmed. Not sure it lives up to the hype or the price but is a good drop, balancing bitterness and sweetness. Overall: a beer I enjoyed drinking and will do again. Nice enough to make me wonder if I will be able to keep any long enough to see what they are like in a year’s time let alone two, and no way would I get to five years unless I misplaced them somewhere along the way.

Vintage 2013 dark amber, rather clear with some suspended particles (yeasts); medium off-white/beige foam; hoppy fruity aroma, caramel, yeast, reisin?; medium bitterness and sweetness; medium+ body, little bit creamy? feel, with time alcohol gets more noticeable; quite lively carbonation, long bitter finish; Overall: good looking, nice testing, good mouthfeel, alcohol a little bit too noticeable, well made

Bottle. Vintage of 2012. Hazy amber color with good white foam. Rich aroma with dryed fruits, raisins and old strong wine. Taste: biscuits with fruit and pine wine, sweet, caramel, toffee. Like.

Pours out with a murky amber body, tiny soapy head and sweet malt nose. A hint of the elevated ABV is apparent, honey, vanilla, toffee accents. All of the above meld together nicely, with some gentle warmth and a sweet finish.
