3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 caralkaline87 (435) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 14, 2011Pours amber-brown with gigantic sediment (rice-grain sized and some smaller flakes) and a decent, lingering light-brown head. Nose is very weak and generic to brown ales. Flavor is decent, however, with brown sugar, slight roastiness, modest bitter hops, and some maple coming out on the front, fading to sticky pine and caramel. Finish continues to be sticky. Decent stuff, even if a bit pedestrian.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 maxwelldeux (2369) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very hazy dark brown color with a moderate off-white head on it. Nose is quite malty and strong with some alcohol notes and very reminiscent of a barley wine. Taste is a little strong with some alcohol notes in there and just a hint of sweetness. Not a huge fan, but decent.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rumproasts (1203) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 14, 2013
bottle 2009 vintage. Amber with small head. Bready and quite sweet, light booze. The age has definitely smoothed it out nicely.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 richc (158) - Bolton, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2013
2007 dated so a bit over the suggested 5 years, still pours with a decent long lasting head. Aroma of dark fruits dominates over a gentle maltiness, perhaps fig and prune. A little thin in body and flavour doesn’t quite live up to the aroma. Still a good beer worth seeking out.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cantabrian (410) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 26, 2013
Very malty, from the begining to the finish. Malt malt malt, with a backbone of alcohol, that oakish bourbon barrel - quite noticeable, but nice. Pleasant beer.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Stumblor (26) - - MAY 20, 2013
Bottle from the local off license. Pours like beef stock, almost no head, resin like bubble formation. Smells of licorice and burnt caramel. Tastes of aniseed, dark malt, cooking chocolate. Tastes better than I thought it would!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 omega (500) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 19, 2013
2012 vintage. When I first started getting into beer this was one of the beers you used to look out for. Sadly time has not been kind to this beer as the quality of beer out there is far superior than ten years ago. Little bit thin on the palate and too much sweet molasses. Flavours disappear very quickly.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 pushkinwow (1371) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 12, 2013
Small bottle, 2010. Hazy dark amber with sediment and a nice creamy light biege head. Quite fruity, esters, toffee, watery, caramel malt. Mild body, moderate carbonation, again seems watered down a bit with some malt, faint hops on the finish. Maybe this one just needs more time but it was almost like it was an echo of a beer.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 womencantsail (7106) - Garbage Grove, California, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Vintage 2008. Amber pour with an off-white head. Seems to have passed its prime. Cardboard, water, and a generally oxidized aroma. Some sweet caramel and dark fruit, some toasted bread as well. The flavor is fairly sweet and sugary. Caramel and some fruits, cardboard, and a bit watery.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jaghana (2877) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - MAY 4, 2013
Bottle 355ml, a cloudy copper amber beer with huge head and good lacing. Nose is sweet like with spice and english hops. Aroma is on caramel and caramalt, yellow fruit notes on apricot, apple, spices such as cinnamom and anise. Finish is slightly bitter with metallic touch and old apples, correct but not out standing.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Melkart (93) - BRAZIL - APR 23, 2013
Good beer. It’s balanced and with medium body. You can taste a little bitter, but the fruit sensation takes place at the end.
