Big malty nose. OK head on a copper body. Taste is big and malty, with a certain sweetness and distinct alcohol punch. Quite smooth. A nice ale.

12.7 oz bottle from GM liquors; Says best after 07 06 07 Nose is caramel, vanilla, and sweetness; cloudy copper with a medium beige head; flavor has light hop bitterness, toffee, and a little fruity tone; finishes with light bitterness and a little alcohol warmth! A lighter version of some of the newer American Strong Ales!

Bottle from Johns Marketplace in PDX--Poured a sharp amber-brown body with a quaint little white head. Nutty, grainy, floral nose. Slightly metallic, but not overly so. Thick, fruity, well-balanced. Mild hints of wood and booze. Very nice finish of subtle esters and caramel, honey, and vanilla.
