Sample at Brewers Rendezvous, 7/9/11. Pours a thin white head, over a slightly hazy dark gold (SRM 6) body....nose is light colored fruits, with pear, apple, fig.....taste is raisin, dried cherry, bit of banana, light hop.....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation low. This is thoroughly representative of the style. It is malt rich, low hop, thoroughly nourishing. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

On tap at Coopersmith poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of brown sugar, carmel, dried fruit and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of brown sugar, carmel, dried fruit and light spice with a smooth lingering brown sugar finish.
