In the traditional style, this ale is low-gravity, hand-drawn, and has a generous kettle hop addition. A "session" beer with a tawny amber color, light body, and a wonderful hop flavor and aroma. 4.8% ABV

Subtle Cascade aroma, which immediately turned me off. The flavor profile was surpsingly weak, husky grainey malt profile, with some overwhelming bittering hops in the finish, clean, but very dry and unenjoyable.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy red pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of caramel hints of grass and earth, slight biscuit notes, slight nuts as well. Taste is slight grain, lemon, biscuit, earth, hints of caramel and grassy notes, finishing fairly bitter but a bit clean.

On tap at Coopersmith poured a clear amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness and toasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, toasted malt and light earthiness with a smooth finish.

Tap @ Coopersmiths. Red orange and clear appearance with a creamy head. Dull amber malty nose with some nuttiness. Sweet amber malty flavor that has notes of caramel, nuts, and bitterness. Pretty boring.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber with a beige head. Floral aroma. Lush texture (think it’s cask). Flavor is quite ESB - caramel and floral hop.

notalush (3742) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 15, 2010
Tap at the brewpub - quite an authentic british-style here - semi-dry, biscuity maltiness, burton-ish hard water character, mild diacetyl - a wee bit of sweetness through the middle - relatively strong earthy hop character for the style, reminding you that you are drinking and American-made beer - light body makes for good sessionability.

Draft at brewery. Clear amber, frothy white head. Aroma of mild floral and caramel. Taste is smooth sweet with mild bitterness. Hand drawn so the taste is a little bland. Nice session beer, smooth and soft.

checkmatei1 (764) - Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 16, 2009
Draft in Aug ’08: Poured a orange amber with not much head. The aroma was hops. The flavor was weak, a tad watered down. It did however have hops and bitters present. Just not enough. Overall, a nice session beer, which is what they were going for.
