Ok, at first I thought man these fresh hops are going to kill the beer with a metallic, vegetal taste. The pour was hazy orange with the nitro creamy white head. Aroma is floral, sweet hops, also pineapple, pine, other sweet citrus, very zesty and vibrant overall. Mild bitter finish. It is definitely sweet for an IPA but I really like it. Sweet enough to where it’s a good intro IPA but bitter enough that I was still able to enjoy it greatly. Very good IPA I think. Not sure if the hop bag did anything really, I should try it once without.

taster at the pub on 11/16/11. deep orange pour with a small white head. herbal / spicy hop nose with caramel malts. medium body - smooth - > soft, caramel sweet light fruits. bitter finish with soft malt notes.

Draught at Coopersmith’s. Pours clear copper with a huge, creamy off-white head, excellent lacing. Aroma is moderate malt, caramel notes, earthy, floral, and perfume hops. Flavor is bitter hops, sweet malt; nice balance. Medium bodied, creamy texture yet dry finish.

Draft. Pours dark clear reddish copper with a medium off white head. Aroma is light hops, strong sweet malts as is typical for Coops. Served with a little bag of Cascade hops, although I’m not sure this did anything for the beer. Taste was almost syrupy sweet, slight sourness with kinda clashed with the hops. Drinkable but not one of Coopersmiths’ best offerings.

This beer was a bit gimmicky, as each pint is servied with a litle paper coffee filter-ish bag of whole hop cones. Draft on nitro. Crystal-clear amber body, rich white nitro head. Has a dry, woody wheat bread start with a touch of caramel sweetness. Finishes with some oily hoppiness, but it’s not too strong. The nitro seems to retard the otherwise enjoayable flavor.
